The Will of Dr. Thomas Alexander Roe 1838 - 1882   Dated 23 August 1879

THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ME THOMAS ROE , otherwise Thomas Alexander Roe, now of Gnaton Hall Yealmpton in the County of Devon, late of Fore Street Totnes in the same County, Doctor of Medicine.

  1. I GIVE devise and bequeath the whole of my property both real and personal of every kind soever and wheresoever situate that I may die possessed of unto my wife Emmeline Russell Roe to and for her own use and benefit absolutely.

  2. I APPOINT my said wife my sole Executrix and declare this to be my last will and Testament.

SIGNED by the abovenamed Thomas Roe as his last will and Testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses:

Proved at Exeter the tenth day of May 1882 by the Oath of Emmeline Russell Roe,
Widow, the Relict, the sole Executrix to whom Administration was granted.

The Testator Thomas Alexander Roe was formerly of Gnaton Hall, Yealmpton
but late of 14 Portland Villas, Plymouth both in the County of Devon,
M.D. and died on the sixth day of April 1882 at Plymouth, aforesaid.
