William Bernard Leo Bonn                      1841-
William was born about 1841 in Franconia, Germany. He married Miss Mary Emma Grant, who was born about 1847; but sadly died at a relatively young age, possibly as a consequence of the the birth of her 2nd child, Emma. He afterwards brought up the two children, who were baptised at St John's; returning home at last to the great house (The Villa Bonn, in Franconia), whose rebuilding he completed, with the aid of one of the greatest architects of the day, Ernst Eberhard von Ihne (1848-1917), who had become his trusted advisor and friend. The main street leading to the City of Kronberg, Franconia, was named "Wilhelm Bonn Strasse", in honour of his memory and the Rathaus or Town Hall is named Villa Bonn.
